What is fusee pocket watch?
Both are English Fusee Pocket Watches. Fusee is a conical spirally grooved pulley in a timepiece, driven by a thin chain, which unwinds onto a cylinder containing the mainspring and which by its increasing diameter compensates for the lessening power of the spring (an explanation borrowed from one of my books).

When the watch is fully wound, the chain is completely wrapped around the fusée. As the spring relaxes, the entire barrel rotates and winds up the chain. In doing so, it turns the fusée, which transfers the torque to the going train via a drive wheel.
