Apple Watch plummeted under $200 in the US prior to the launching of Apple Watch

The prices of Apple Watch product line was on a slide for the past few months right after speculations about the unveiling of Apple Watch 2 in the coming weeks have emerged out on the Internet.

But don’t expect a lot of changes in the upcoming upgraded version. According to a report issued by KGI, the new-fangled Apple Watch 2 will be beefed up with GPS, superior waterproofing feature, and enhanced performance but will still sport the same design. Another report surfaced out one week ago support KGI’s claims.

The launching of the wrist-worn device alongside the Apple’s flagship phone, iPhone 7 in September appears to be evident. The company seems like it is not wasting time to clear its present inventory prior to the unveiling of the smartwatch. The entry-level Apple Watch Sport is now fetched at a price of $199 that comes with a 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case.

According to 9to5Toys, the new Apple Watch dipped to $199 price point last night at Best Buy. Apple and host of other online retailers often come up with similar prices. The Open Box versions begin at a price of $180 and there is a wide range of selections like the 42mm variant.

Keep in mind that the original price of Apple Watch was $349 and it dropped to $249 not long time ago and now it is pegged at a price of under $200.

The price of the smartwatch is expected to stabilize near the vicinity of $200 price point and if you are planning to tab one, it is safe to do so.

With its reduced price, the Apple Watch is now more competitive with its rivals in the smartphone niche.
