Evan Spiegel, founder of Snapchat, seems to be on a spree on bringing some pretty slick features to Snapchat. A month after debuting the new Lenses feature on Snapchat, it is again expanding on its existing video features and adding new features to it.
The new video features are being dubbed “Speed Modifiers” which will allow users to add slow-motion, fast forward and rewind filters to their videos. In addition to puke rainbows, users can now also add special effects to their snaps.
As the names of the Speed Modifiers suggest, slow-motion slows videos down, fast-forward increases the pace of the video and rewind plays the video backwards. It is only a question of when the new features will start being used in Snaps and Stories circulating on Snapchat. One can only imagine the celebrities on Snapchat using Speed Modifiers to make their Snaps more appealing and worth watching.
Furthermore, the new update to Snapchat, which is technically the new features being added, will also add 3D Touch features for users with iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus phones, enabling them to instantly chat with their contacts on Snapchat.
Snapchat is pushing strongly through to make its business more concrete and attract more users to its platform. Earlier this month, it was reported that Snapchat is looking into Sponsored Lenses, which is the ability to pay for replays.
