Samsung has been one of the hottest names in the world of Android technology, and with the speculations surrounding their Samsung Galaxy S7 – the next Samsung flagship getting hotter, the company is gaining more steam with every passing day. Samsung’s efforts have resulted in the creation of two parallel flagship brands: the Samsung Galaxy S series of devices, and the Samsung Galaxy Note series of devices. The company has recently released the Note 5 device last year, and is expected to announced the S7 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 20th February. They are expected to show it off at the Mobile World Congress later in February.
Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to showcase the following features:
- Four Variants:
The device is expected to come out as the regular S7, S7 Edge, S7 Edge+ and S7 Plus. At this moment it is expected that the first three variants will get a simultaneous launch, while the S7 Plus might be scrapped or released at a later date.
The phones are expected to feature the latest of Snapdragon technologies, and they’ll come equipped with the Snapdragon 820 – the latest processor in the markets. The phone is expected to feature the Exynos based processors for a few markets, and the Snapdragon 820 for the rest of them.
- Vivid Photos, Pressure Sensitive Display
Samsung takes on Apple with the latest new features – iPhone 6s features the live photos and 3D touch technologies which give it a major edge over other devices. Samsung is all set to counter them with their vivid photos and pressure sensitive display in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 device.
- MicroSD support:
The device is also expected to bring back the support for MicroSD cards, something that Samsung scrapped off in its previous offerings in the S6 and Note 5 series of flagship devices.
