Microsoft To Put An End To Windows 10 Mobile and Windows Phone Devices? Know The Details –

Microsoft, over the years, has been a company which has been coming out with a large number of updates and upgrades for their devices.  The company has been working on the Windows 10 Mobile powered Windows Phone devices off late. However, nothing really seems to be working their way. Microsoft has tried their best to innovate their way through the markets and the company has been coming out with a large number of changes and improvements, but things still don’t look like they are working out that well for them.Windows-10-Mobile-Lead-10149

With the Windows 10 Mobile OS Update, and the Windows Phone devices not selling as well in the markets as intended, Microsoft is now expected to be working on a plan to have them scrapped off. The company has noticed that they have made a major loss in the markets – the number was $8 Billion last year, and since then they entered the ‘damage control’ mode, but it still looks that losses have continued, it is anticipated that even if the losses have halved, the company has lost out close to $12 Billion so far.

Not just the financial losses, the company is also losing out their market share, as the market share has fallen by as much as 50% in the last one year. Today, Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile and Windows Phone devices stand at a mere 1% of the total market share.

The company now looks like they are distancing themselves from their mobile phone division, as throughout the entire Build 2016 event, not a single mention was made of the Windows 10 Mobile or the Windows Phone devices.

In another hint that the company has no short term plans for their mobile phone devices, it was stated that “We’re going to do some cool things with phones, but this year phones are an important part of our family but not the tip of the spear,” Windows chief Terry Myerson told popular website, The Verge.
