Microsoft Corporation has been among some of the most popular names when we take a look at the markets of software and OS technology. The company has now been entering the hardware business and has been doing a good work there too. Microsoft has recently launched several hardware devices, including the latest Lumia phones and surface devices. As per latest news, the company is now all set to launch their gen-next Lumia phone, the Microsoft Lumia 650.
The phone is expected to be announced as early as the first of February, and is being speculated by many as the last phone to be released by Microsoft under the ‘Lumia’ branding. The phones that release henceforth shall be coming out under the ‘Surface’ branding as per various speculations. The device came out rather unannounced when we look at the various other Microsoft releases of recent times, such as the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL.
Microsoft Lumia 650 is expected to come out with a 5 inched screen, and will feature 8GB of internal storage along with 1GB of RAM. The phone will feature the Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile OS, and will be coming out with a 3000mAh battery. The device is expected to come out with a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP camera in the front.
The Lumia 650 will however, not be featuring the continuum feature or the USB-C support. The device is expected to release with the Snapdragon 410, and is likely to be priced at $235. The phone has been in the rumor mills for a really long time, and the release date now appears to be quite near.
However, at a $200+ price point there have been several other companies which have released phones with better features. This is probably the right time for Microsoft Corporation to pull the plug on the Lumia series of devices before any more losses happen.
