China has off late been a country which has been the progeny of several companies which are coming out with incredible innovations in the world of technology. Some of the major names that have started off the Chinese markets in recent times are those of Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, Lenovo, Huawei and many more. The country has been home to several technological revolutions and has helped many industries set up. The latest name from China to go global is that of Le TV, which has recently re-branded itself as Le Eco (Le Ecosystem).
LeTV was founded in the year 2004, and has been coming out with many innovative devices since then. The company has rebranded themselves to Le Eco as that is a method towards changing the brand perception. It is believed that the company is a TV maker by many people and the company is probably looking towards getting rid of that perception before they expand internationally.
The company has stated that there are no structural changes or organizational changes happening in this, and it is just a change of name as they head forward towards newer and bigger avenues. The company has also revealed a new logo. All the subsidiaries too have dropped TV from their name and have adapted the Le Eco branding.
“Letv is where we started, but LeEco is our future,” wrote Ablikim Ablimit, Le Holdings’ Vice President of Strategy in a press statement. “We will create a more beautiful eco world with new value for our users. And our brand-new logo will bring users into this exciting world.”
With a market value of over a billion dollars, Le Eco is all set to go global and is expected to set off a series of devices in the markets. The company was making major news recently as they had released ‘the worlds thinnest TV’ and the first smartphone in the world to run on the Snapdragon 820 processor – the Le Max Pro.
