Apple has recently introduced two major new features to their latest devices – the iPhone 6s and 6s plus, and the iPad Pro, with the introduction of the 3D touch feature for the iPhones and the split screen multitasking for the iPads. Several companies which have their apps on these devices have been updating their apps in order to support the 3D touch and Multitasking features. Google has now become the latest major name to join the party.
The biggest name when it comes to the world of internet technology, Google has constantly been updating itself with the latest trends in the markets and has been diversifying their approach and their reach over the years. They have now finally adapted to the major changes Apple has recently brought around.
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus users can now make use of the Google App’s 3D touch feature. Pressing the Google app icon will now show you three detailed options: Quick Search, Voice Search and Image Search. Clicking on these will directly take you to the required kind of search instead of opening the google app and manually navigating there.
Google has also made good use of the multitasking feature of the iPad. This is another feature which has been introduced with the latest update for the iOS 9, where users can split the screen into two (for apps which support this feature), and use the other half of the screen to perform other tasks such as texting or reading articles while they use the other half to use the apps. With a really large, 12.9 inched screen, it is quite easy to manage two tasks at the same time. On iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 2 or later, you can use Slide Over to quickly use Google over another app. You can also use the Split View feature to use Google side by side with another app at the same time.
