EA will be releasing a free demo of this year’s FIFA 17 next week, with speculation that it will include Manchester United and Real Madrid. This year’s new FIFA is out on September 29, but if you want to play it before that then there’ll be a free demo released on Tuesday, September 13. Although lead producer Garreth Reeder confirmed the news to website Gamecreator he wouldn’t say anything else, including which teams and stadiums will be included. There was a substantial playable demo at Gamescom last month though, and it’s likely that the line-up below will be similar or identical for the public demo.
Gamescom demo teams which will be available in the Demo version: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, Seattle Sounders, Tigres UANL, FC Bayern Monaco, Gamba Osaka, Inter, Juventus
Gamescom demo stadiums which will be available in the Demo version: Stamford Bridge, Suita City Football Stadium, Centuity link Field
The other way to play FIFA 17 early is to join EA Access on Xbox One or Origin Access on PC. Which will give you the chance to play the game several days before it’s officially released. Even though it is unfortunate that Sony has never allowed EA to do a version of EA Access on PlayStation 4, Sony might think of making exceptions this time around. In the meantime, the demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is already available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and is being hailed as fans as a clear improvement on last year’s game – which in turn many preferred to FIFA 16.
