Alcatel has been one of the leading brands when it comes to the production of mid-ranged and low-budget devices. However, the brand has now surprised the world when it released its premium range of mobiles, the Alcatel Premium Idol 4 and Idol 4S phones.l
Alcatel used to have ‘OneTouch’ as a part of several of its devices, but the company has now decided to drop that strategy and is simply releasing devices without that. This simplifies the names of the phones too. The company is also changing their logo as a part of this rebranding strategy. The newest releases from Alcatel are really, really impressive.
The Alcatel Premium Idol 4 and Idol 4S come out with metal and glass bodies, and run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
Alcatel Premium Idol 4 has been designed to match the Samsung Galaxy S6, as it comes with a slick glass and is a very light, thin device. It features a 5.2 inched screen, and comes out with a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. The phone offers the users with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It runs on an impressive 2610mAh of battery. The device also flaunts a 13MP camera in the back and an 8MP front camera with flash.
The bigger device of the two, the Alcatel Premium Idol 4S comes out with a 5.5 inched screen, along with an AMOLED display. The device also runs on 3GB of RAM and features a 32GB internal storage space. The phone has a larger battery at 3000mAh and runs on a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, which again is an improvement over the idol 4.
The phone features a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP front camera which is expected to work extremely well in low light conditions.
Alcatel Premium Idol 4 and 4s are expected to help the company change the market’s perceptions.
